If I press F3 in the panels over a gif-file, it works like pressing Shift+F4. This will say it shows the hex code of the file and not the actual image.
Pressing F3 over jpg and png files shows the image as it always have done and Shift+F4 the hex code.

The gif viewer was disabled because the library we used was deprecated. I will check if there is another library available.
