Using FileZilla, I am able to connect to a local Raspberry Pi FTP server using SFTP. Using the same setting in WinNC, I cannot get FTP to connect no matter what I do. I specify a URL of 192.168.0.20, port 22, and enter my creds. When I try to "Connect", it waits a few seconds and gives me "Cannot open folder. Read timed out". I'm not sure what folder it's trying to open, but I tried setting "Initial Folder" in advanced settings and it changes nothing. I've tried various combinations of "Anonymous", "Passive" and "Advanced Settings" to no avail. There is no proxy involved here. I've even set my Windows Firewall to allow WinNC through for Private and Public. NOTHING WORKS! I'm assuming WinNC is using SFTP, since specifying a port of 21 (or not specifying a port at all) gives me a different error: "Cannot open folder. Socket Error #10061. Connection refused".

Hi Ed, sorry WinNc is not compatible with SFTP. (The component we use doesn’t support it yet)

Hi. I used to WinNc to connect to ftp site : ftp://server.name.com:21 Error says me detail error that I am unable to understand. And also it says me folder / denied to few parameters. Here I tried to use same settings that are accessible when I connect with internet explorer to same ftp server. What should i do to understand is WinNc able to connect to the site or not.  As I know its possible connect to it over usage FileZilla. But about FileZilla I am aware using it:  just do not want to use it. Please advice what I could do or should do to connect to my needed ftp with WinNc.
