September 26, 2020In windows 10, when sorting a directory containing both sub directories and files by date modified, then the results are displayed "latest date on top" or "latest date on bottom" regardless whether it may be directories or files.
In WINNC 9.3.1.0 when sorting by date, directories that contains sub directories and files, the directories are ALWAYS appearing on top and files below (with each section being sorted independently)
Is it possible in WINNC to sort by date modified ? to achieve same behavior as in Windows

I could not find a way to do this through the WinNc options but agree it’s a good feature request. As a long time user of Norton Commander, directories were always treated separately from files as is the case with WinNc keeping them above the files. That’s still my preferred way to work but I can see where this could be a useful option to include.
